Getting Started
Verbosis is a writing space for poems, lyrics and short verse. Start typing in the editor. Syllable counts appear beside each written line.
Your work is saved automatically in this browser. Use Save or Save As when you want a separate text file on your computer.
Writing and Editing
- + New creates a fresh writing document.
- Spell toggles the browser spell checker.
- Focus Mode hides the side panels. Press Esc to return.
- The Statistics panel shows words, lines, stanzas and reading time.
Keyboard Shortcuts
- Ctrl+O opens a text or Markdown file.
- Ctrl+S saves your current document.
- Ctrl+Shift+S saves a new copy.
- On Mac, use Cmd instead of Ctrl.
Songwriter Mode
Use headings such as [Verse 1], [Chorus] and [Bridge]. Verbosis summarises the song structure in the right panel.
Snapshots
Snapshots are saved versions of the current document. In this version you can restore a snapshot, open it as a separate copy, or delete it.
Mobile Use
On phones, the sidebar becomes a menu. Tap ☰ to open or close the menu.
Release Notes
Version 2.3.7.3 adds intelligent save verification, preserving recovery data and warning clearly if browser storage fails.
The aim is to keep the writing screen calm while making supporting information easy to find.
